Absolutely believable Illegals story
This should be unbelievable but to me is totally believable as nothing concerning ILLEGAL ALIENS is out of the realm of believability. Here are a few key points, from signonsandiego.com:
“People living in illegal huts from the undeveloped land between Carmel Valley and Rancho Peñasquitos (San Diego county), an area that is shrinking as it gives way to new houses.” Notice it’s the huts that are illegal, not the illegal aliens living in them…
“An outdoor chapel with a small stucco altar, pews and a picture of the Virgin of Guadalupe that has served canyon residents for more than 15 years probably will be torn down.” (Hey, if you want a cross torn down call the ACLU)
“Environmental and public health concerns are prompting this latest effort, Hardy said, as well as “increasingly hostile relations between supporters of migrants and opponents of illegal immigration.”
“Many of the men living in the canyon are undocumented (oh yeah right, they’re just “undocumented” that’s all), though not all, police say. Immigration agents will not be present when the no-trespassing signs are first enforced, said Capt. Jim Collins of the San Diego Police Department’s Northeast Division.”
“An encounter last month between Minutemen and their supporters and a mobile health clinic that visits the camp to treat workers was described by police as a pushing and shouting match that led to no injuries or arrests. But people on both sides said they felt threatened, and men in the camps say they are often harassed by Minutemen filming there”. Go you Minutemen!
“Encampments in McGonigle Canyon grew from a small collection of crude huts for male migrant workers in the late 1980s to a vibrant mini-village also housing women and children by the early 1990s. It was complete with a store, restaurant, political factions which disputed leadership in elections and police problems including domestic abuse. In 1993, there was even a wedding that included a cake and pink and white streamers.” Ummm, no comment needed here…
“But by 1994, city officials began working with landowners to shut down the enclave because it had grown so large and was considered out of control. About 750 people, including entire families, were moved into apartments, and the camps faded from public view.” What the hell? “city workers began working with landowners”? Am I the only one who thinks perhaps the Border Patrol should have done regular sweeps through there are rounded them up until there weren’t anymore? Oh no, that would have been too intolerant of me ,eh?
“Police say they are working with the nonprofit group Border Angels to find housing for the men.” WHAT!?
“There isn’t much work,” said Romulo Muñoz, 41, from Oaxaca. If he can’t afford to rent an apartment soon, he said, “I’m thinking of moving back to Mexico.” THERE’S YOUR ANSWER! HELLOOOOOOOOO!
“A church is a community,” Welland said. “The place means a lot to me. It’s wonderful to see people interact. We share the same faith.” The same faith, yes. Loyalty to America, NO.
Disgusting.
I was listening today and heard you mention a Temporary worker visa status that might be included in any border security legislation.
I wonder if anyone has thought throught to the end result of such a move. The scenario that popped into my head is as follows.
The millions of illegals “working” in the US are now legitimize via temporary worker visas. A previously powerless workforce is emboldened by it’s new legal status, “Legal Aliens”. The allure of better working conditions and wages promised by union organizers attract millions to its membership. As do all good communist parties the Union wields this new powerful group as hammer to crush capitalism in the U.S. Liberals help with legislation supporting a minimum wage, pension plans, medical benefits, free busing from the border to any continental U.S. destination…….. The “Legal Aliens” previously paid less than teachers and trashmen are now living comfortable live and paying passage for family members left behind so that they to can partake of the bounty. The benefits of being a “Legal Alien” become so attractive that Americans are documented as having renounced their citizenship only to return as “LA’s.”
Employers of the previously illegal aliens are now hamstrung by constant battles with the Union and the crippling legislation enacted by do gooder Liberals. Inflation wracks the Country. It cost $200 to get your no lot line lawn(it is small) in South Florida mowed. Seniors are dying by the hundreds of heat stroke while trying to comply with strict neighborhood association guidelines concerning yard maintenance. The 1,000,000 walker march is organized and the octogenarians head to the Capital brandishing banners emblazoned with “Mow or medicate” epithets. The government, caught between two of it’s most powerful constituents the Unions and the Retirees is grid locked an unable to act. (The Democrats have won both houses of Congress and the Presidency by the way.)
Strikes ensue as employers, unable to pass the increasing costs of unskilled labor along to the consumers, refuse to comply with Union demands pleading economic ruin. Many close their doors unable to make ends meet. Oranges go unpicked. Lawns go un mowed. The old continue to die on overgrown beds of St. Augustine grass.
The coffers of the Unions are quickly drained as the strikes drag on and organizers embezzle millions to fund the construction of Casinos in Cuba after Castro’s timely death. Now under the rule of his more moderate brother, who turns out to be a closet Capitalist, Cuba embraces the fleeing union organizers.(Too much? Not sure if he is more moderate. Just a guess.) The Union crumbles. The “L A’s” now leaderless and unemployed have reached a staggering 50 million in number. Helpless they turn to Government agencies for assistance and are immediately granted unemployment benefits. Taxes for the average Jo rise to meet this new burden. Hate crimes are on the rise as “Joe average” targets the “LA’s”. It is a dark time.
Right about then Jeb Bush steps up to the plate. Utilizing his strong ties with the Latin community He negotiates reasonable terms for the unemployed unskilled multitude. “Here’s the deal. $5.00 an hour, no bennies and a half hour lunch. Take it or leave it. The buses are over there.” The delegation of LA’s cave and accept the deal. Jeb is lauded as a genius. Thereafter He campaigns on a platform of tax cuts and wins the election for President of the United States. Palm Beach county had no impact on the election. They were unable to contest the results as most of it’s residents had perished the previous summer.(Not sure of the election year. Haven’t worked out the time line just yet.)
That’s it. One man’s view of our future with work visas as part of our border security plans. The ending is OK but it sure was tough getting there. -Average Joe
