I, of course, support the right of people to homeschool their kids. However, not everyone has the ability to do that. I think we should focus our efforts on becoming involved in the public schools in our communities. All schools must disclose what is in their curriculum to the parents (and the public). I objected to a worksheet that my 10-year-old son brought home that was supposed to be a "language arts" assignment and it was nothing but a load of environmentalist propanda. My son completed the assignment, but I also sent a note to his teacher objecting to the "message." She said she understood and would bring up my concern with the principal, which she did. This worksheet will not be used next year. We have to be vigilant in protecting our children for this indoctrination.

Support home schooling! This is just one more example of the type of things our children could be/can be/will be/are exposed to in the public school system! (Not to mention the inferior education the public school provides while using our tax dollars! Grrr)
