Robert Redford came out swinging at Bush criticizing HIS policies and taking the “moral” high ground:
“Anyone with a rational mind and a sense of decency is being positioned as a lefty by the extreme right,” he said, responding to an attendee who asked whether he thought Sundance selections were politically oriented to the left. “I believe in the tenets of democracy, and when they get pushed, it pisses me off,” he said.
This is all very amusing as some of the films making their debut are the most twisted and morally vacant in the history of the festival. Movies such as “Hounddog” where a 12 yr. old Dakota Fanning get raped and then turns promiscuous. It’s OK though, according to all involved, including her mother, the controversial rape scene was “carefully choreographed.” Oh yeah, I’ll bet it was, for the most impact and realness.
This should make for some great kiddie porn for pedophiles out there.
Moving on, we have a documentary (isn’t there always a good Liberal documentary in these celebrations of political correctness?) entitled “Zoo“. Yep you guessed it, a film about sex with animals - horses to be exact, and who knows what else. Read the following review from the L.A. Times:
“Zoo,” premiering before a rapt audience Saturday night at Sundance, manages to be a poetic film about a forbidden subject, a perfect marriage between a cool and contemplative director Robinson Devor (the little-seen “Police Beat”) and potentially incendiary subject matter: sex between men and animals. Not graphic in the least, this strange and strangely beautiful film combines audio interviews (two of the three men involved did not want to appear on camera, why not? He doesn’t say…) with elegiac visual re-creations intended to conjure up the mood and spirit of situations. The director himself puts it best: “I aestheticized the sleaze right out of it.”

Well then, let’s load up the car and bring the kids! This guy looks like he could be the star of the movie.
“I count on the natural world pulling my films through. I thought the marriage of this completely strange mind-set and the beauty of the natural world could be something interesting.”
Uh hum, OKay…
I think you know where I’m going here. Robert Redford is the last, or next to last person that should be questioning ANYBODY’S “decency”, don’tcha think? But, I guess like all Liberals, decency is subjective. If you think about it, pedophilia and bestiality are the last bullet points to be tackled on the Liberal agenda.
