I’ve been past this Earth-worshipping joint as I stayed next door at the Carbon Footprint Inn (Residence Inn) one weekend. There was only a car or two (non-hybrids, BTW) so this place is needin’ all the promotin’ it can get. It’s one ugly place to boot, a series of concrete boxes not half as attractive as it’s website of Napa scenery.

The Hotel is not in Napa, it’s in American Canyon - an industrial town of wrecking yards on highway 29 running through Vallejo on the way to the wine country, if you choose to go that way. I usually go via 37 through Sonoma and past the Infineon Raceway where there’s usually an event goin’ on, and it’s a much more scenic drive. It’s interesting that on the website for the Gaia under “Napa Valley Destinations” the racetrack and NASCAR are prominently featured. Liberal hypocrisy? You decide, but like I said Global warming is a new world religion.
