Illegal “Immmmmigrants” scatter in response to new law
This sounds like a good one to me…
“Word spread far and fast as illegal immigrants braced for the possibility that they may soon lose their jobs if skittish employers begin culling workers wholesale rather than facing the possibility of losing their business licenses, the penalty for a second offense under the measure.”
“I’m thinking of going to another state, maybe Nevada or Colorado. I don’t know,” said Arellanes, 22, who is from Chihuahua, Mexico, and has been living illegally in Arizona for three years.
Well now, we’ll just have to move on to make this law in other states…
“Arellanes may not find the welcome mat he is expecting. Other states are expected to follow Arizona’s lead in passing employer-sanction laws or other bills to clamp down on illegal immigration out of frustration with Congress’ failure to solve the problem.
As a result, labor shortages in some industries that rely on immigrant workers worsened this year, prompting officials in Colorado to contract with prison inmates to pick crops in some areas.”
Wow, just like the good ol’ days…take away the gym equipment and TV’s and get those inmates working. Employers could pay the gov’t for lending the inmates for a job pool. “Course the ACLU will have something to say about cruel and unusual punishment…
I can’t beleve that this worked and we did not have to put them on a line of busess. Oklahoma has law that has made about 25,000 illegal’s leave the state. I though that on one could stop them ( atleast that is what C.N.N says to us) way to go!!!!!!!!!!
