“San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom shouldn’t have been too surprised when The Chronicle reported that Golden Gate Park was littered with used drug syringes.After all, his own Public Health Department spent $800,000 last year to help hand out some 2 million syringes to drug users under the city’s needle exchange program — sometimes 20 at a time.”
Can you imagine? Almost 1 million dollars just so druggies can have clean needles? This is liberal reasoning at it’s finest. OK, so we give the druggies the clean needles, millions of them and WHAT? They don’t turn them in? They could possibly be using them more than once, or worse yet, trading them or shhhhharing them with other druggies?
Well of course this is happening, because the motivation for exchanging them or throwing them in the trash can a few feet away takes the same motivation and diligence that it takes to find a job or a place to live or your next meal. There is no way in the world I will take my kids to Golden Gate Park to go to the Steinhardt Aquarium or even walk on the grass after hearing about this.

Not a thought about the innocent public stepping on one in a park or a child picking them up and getting pricked by one of these syringes bearing HIV or Hepatitus? So, instead of a concentrated small population of druggies exchanging needles because of the lack or them we now have potentially 2 million+ syringes that for the most part are contaminated with blood-borne diseases making everyday life risky for non-drug users because of these freebies?
Idiot Libs, of course now they’ll institute a program for collecting the used needles, via a new department, more union city workers with domestic partner benefits and the like. Guess who’ll pay for it…..guys like you…..with jobs……that don’t take drugs. Smile, this will only hurt for a second.
