I understand the need to "open" up land for burials. There isn't any new land being made. People need to be buried, etc. I think muslims have something against being cremated.... So exhuming old bones, bunching them together and properly disposing of them to make room for a new generation of dead people makes sense. In fact, some areas of the world do this all the time. Now, if there is a back story to all of this... Like muslims demanding this happen for them (and only them)....Or muslims wanting to be buried in a "tony" part of town instead of with the riff-raff...
