(Florida) - A judge on Friday gave three consecutive life sentences to a man convicted of dragging a 10-year-old girl into the woods, choking her, and then raping her.

A day earlier, a jury had found Antonio Rosales, 41, a homeless man who was living in those woods, guilty of child rape, kidnapping and attempted first-degree murder.

Oh, the poor guy, he’s just homeless. Give him a break.

The victim testified Tuesday that her attacker dragged her into the woods in Casselberry about dusk Nov. 1, 2003, as she was on her way to the grocery store on her brother’s push-scooter. The man choked her until she lost consciousness, she said.

He also confessed to an unrelated crime — killing an elderly woman in Arizona.

Rosales has already spent time in a Central American prison for another homicide. Guatemalan federal criminal records show he was judged guilty of homicide in 1991, although they provide no detail.

Gee, seems like they don’t spend so much time for killing in that country either…

But according to U.S. immigration records, he has entered the U.S. unlawfully at least three times. He was deported in 1998 and again in 2000, according to Barbara Gonzalez, spokeswoman with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The federal government thinks he’s a native of Mexico. He has provided no evidence that he’s from Guatemala, Gonzalez wrote in an e-mail Friday, and each time he was deported, it was to Mexico.

(LA Times) - WASHINGTON — The Bush administration warned landowners along the southern border Friday that it would seize their property if they refused to cooperate with federal efforts to build a fence meant to slow illegal immigration.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said he would give landowners 30 days to indicate whether they would allow federal officials on their land to survey its suitability for fencing. If they decline, he said, he would turn to the courts to gain temporary access.

Chertoff said that access to 225 miles of noncontiguous land, most of it in Texas and Arizona, was essential to meeting the administration’s goal of building 370 miles of border fencing by the end of 2008.

They better get moving so some of it actually gets built before a potential DemoRat Prez. does something to kill it.

British hospital turns Muslims’ beds to face Mecca

“A British hospital has agreed to turn seriously ill Muslim patients’ beds to face Mecca, as part of efforts to improve services for the Islamic community, a spokeswoman said Tuesday. Dewsbury and District Hospital in West Yorkshire — a region of northern England which has a large Muslim population — is also offering halal options at mealtime, said matron Catherine Briggs.”

“Some of our former Muslim patients suggested that a more informed understanding of the Islamic cultures would help staff to further improve their service.”

Conservative MP David Davies also criticized the idea, saying: “Hospitals should be concentrating on stopping the spread of infections than kowtowing to the politically-correct brigade.”

Who the heck are they to warn us about attacking their habit of mixing anti-freeze in toothpaste? People, you better check where your products come from and ESPECIALLY food! I mean go to your local “big box” store and see that you are buying fruit in the winter from Chile, Mexico, Argentina and yes, China. Countries that could (and most likely) are using fertilizers and pesticides that are banned here in the U.S..

China also supplies scallops (which often times are just stamped out plugs from stingray or some other ray-type animal) to these stores. Also, you should only buy wild-caught shrimp or prawns, not from Vietnam or China etc. as they are for the most part grown in farms which use questionable feeding materials and also waste water for them in which to be raised.

What the hell is wrong with us? Is Tyson or Foster Farms chicken too clean? Why do we always need to buy crap from somewhere else when we have better right here in this country.

WIS asked students at on campus about the concert and the lyrics. One student, Kendra Johnson, says, “The radio host was out of line when he said it. Some rap artists may be out of line, but they don’t mean no harm.”

They..Don’t..Mean..No..Harm? Really?

Student Justin Miller says, “There’s always a time and place for everything. With hip hop music that’s a certain situation where those remarks can be used, but on public radio station pointed to a particular group it’s not proper.”

Student Body President Deven Anderson says, “Being they are a performing artist group they’re merely here to entertain us. That’s nothing serious in content, they’re here to entertain.”

What is Imus but an “entertainer” (if you’re entertained by his brand of whatever it is)?

Imus deserves whatever he gets, but so does every other “artist” (yeah…artist, huh) that incorporates and repackages the same language in their product. Sharpton and Jackson are every bit as guilty as Imus. I don’t have time to go through all of their racist actions. Google it yourself.
